Not everyone knows that the Artichoke is not a fruit, but a flower. In fact, if not collected, it forms a beautiful blue inflorescence. The wonderful buds of this thistle, collected before they become flowers, are a widely used ingredient in cooking, also appreciated for its purifying and toning properties. Artichokes are rich in silymarin, an antioxidant that stimulates liver activity and cleanses the body of harmful substances.
